Anderson testified to The Times who asked his friends and family to stop sending him posts that “recreated” the style of his films:“If someone sends me something like that, I delete it immediately and tell them: ‘Please, excuse me, don’t send me things from people impersonating me.’

“I don’t want to look at it and think, ‘Is that what I do? Is that what I want to express?’” According to the director, this type of trend completely erases the message that he wants to convey in his films.
